MIHOSO International Foundation appoints Thomas Benarkuu as new CEO

Sunyani, (Bono), July 11, GNA – Dr Gabriel Gbiel Benarkuu, the President of the College for Community and Organisational Development (CCOD), a Sunyani-based private technical university has handed-over operations of the MIHOSO Foundation International to Mr Thomas Benarkuu, his younger brother, as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). 

The MIHOSO International was originally founded in 2003 as the Mission of Hope for Society Foundation by Dr Benarkuu who had been the CEO of the Foundation since its establishment. 

Dr Benarkuu, also a prominent leader and advocate for organizational development and community technical education in Africa said the NGO remained dedicated to providing public health services and social accountability. 

Speaking at a brief handing over ceremony in Sunyani, he indicated that the foundation had worked tirelessly in providing community and organisational development interventions through action research, advocacy, capacity training as well as sharing of resources and livelihood support. 
 
“We have prioritized and implemented all these interventions to just improve the quality of life of women, youth, children and the socially marginalized in Ghana and Africa”, he stated. 
 
Dr Benarkuu said he was highly confident in his younger brother, who he added had now built the capacity to manage the MIHOSO to make a great impact in the lives of the especially vulnerable population. 
 
On his part, Mr Benarkuu who was before then, the Deputy CEO in-charge operation of the MIHOSO, said he was highly elated, and pledging a deepened teamwork spirit to harness the full potential of the organisation. 
 
He praised his elder brother for his hard work, dedication and selflessness in serving society and assured him not to fail him but to work diligently and to make positive impacts on the communities they served. 
 
Mr Benarkuu commended the board, management and staff, as well as the local and international partners, saying that with their continuous support, the MIHOSO would build on its achievements and thereby better the lives of the people in the communities they served. 
 
“Our vision is broad and our future is brighter”, he stated and appealed to his elder brother to continue to provide him with the required support and spiritual guidance.
