Bombo Investments collaborates with Africa Monologue Challenge to drive intra-African trade agenda

Accra, Aug2, GNA-Bombo Investments, a pan-African trade and investment advisory firm, has officially partnered the Africa Monologue Challenge (AMC) to advance the continent’s intra-African trade agenda.
It will also move advocacy into concrete commercial action under the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) protocols.

The partnership brings together Bombo Investments’ structured trade and investment capabilities with AMC’s pan-African creative platform, which reaches over 25 countries across the continent and diaspora.
AMC Season 3, set to take place in Ghana this September, will serve as the launchpad for this collaboration.

The Africa Monologue Challenge, co-founded by MK Casting and the African Chamber of Content Producers (ACCP), has long championed a vision of uniting Africa’s creative economy to tell African stories the African way and promote Brand Africa to the world.
Since its inception, each season of AMC has advocated intra-African trade and tourism as central themes, leveraging the power of storytelling to project a positive narrative of the continent.

Central to the AMC experience is the Pan-African House, a month-long residency where 12 finalists from across Africa live, work, and create together.
This shared environment allows young creatives to engage in genuine cultural exchange, touring the host country and interacting with local communities.
The organizers believe that trust cannot be built at a distance. It requires knowing one another, visiting one another, and spending time together in shared spaces. The Pan-African House concept was developed precisely to foster this people-to-people integration, creating practical Pan-African solutions through lived experience.

Mr. Roger Quartey, CEO of Bombo Investments and a renowned media personality with over 100 films and commercials to his credit, brings decades of brand and media consulting experience to the partnership.
As CEO of Roger-Q productions, Head of Production for UTV, and Chairman of the Media and Cultural Sector of the African Chamber of Content Producers, Mr. Quartey understands intimately the power of the creative economy in growing brands and driving economic transformation.

“I have spent my career at the intersection of media, brand building, and storytelling,” said Mr. Quartey.
“I know firsthand that the creative economy is a powerful engine for economic growth and continental integration.
By partnering with the Africa Monologue Challenge, Bombo Investments is committing to move the intra-African trade advocacy that AMC has championed for years into a tangible, actionable trade agenda guided by AfCFTA protocols.”

Roger Quartey stated that Bombo Investments is currently developing strategies to ensure easier penetration of brands across African borders, working to reduce the structural friction that has historically hindered the free flow of goods, services, and capital within the continent.

Nana Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin, President of the African Chamber of Content Producers, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that it represents a significant step forward in the Chamber’s long-standing commitment to championing intra-African trade through the creative economy.

“We are very excited to tap into the expertise of Chairman Roger Quartey in fronting the AMC’s intra-African trade agenda,” said Nana Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin. “This is something the Chamber has been championing for several years, and we believe it will be beneficial to all Africans and the world at large. The creative economy is Africa’s soft power, and when we align it with structured trade and investment frameworks, we unlock unprecedented opportunities for our people.”

He revealed that the Chamber was currently in talks with other members across Africa to work with Chairman Quartey and Bombo Investments to achieve the objectives of all stakeholders. “Bombo Investments has already started engaging with African brands to see how we can practicalise intra-African trade,” he added. “This is moving the talk into practical action.”

The AMC organizers emphasized that the initiative is fundamentally about building trust among young Africans, trust that can only be cultivated through direct engagement, shared experiences, and mutual understanding.
The 12 creative finalists, representing Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Botswana, the Republic of Congo, Benin, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, and the African diaspora in the United States, have undergone have had experiences on Pan-Africanism through AMC monologue prompts and will come together to feature in Pan-African content created by the stakeholders. This creative collaboration, grounded in a month of shared living and learning, embodies the practical Pan-African solutions that AMC seeks to promote.

Mr. Mawuko Kuadzi, CEO of MK Casting and a key architect of the Africa Monologue Challenge, underscored the transformative potential of the creative economy when paired with strategic trade partnerships.

“The Africa Monologue Challenge is not just about discovering talent, but it is also about building a continent where African stories are told by Africans, for the world,” said Kuadzi. “My own rise in the international casting industry has taught me that diligence, professionalism, and strategic partnerships are the foundations of success. As Co-founder and CEO of AMC, I am ready to deploy all available resources and networks to work with Bombo Investments and other partners to ensure the success of our objectives for the interest of Africa and her people.”

Mawuko Kuadzi, an award-winning international casting director and member of the Casting Society (CSA) and the International Casting Directors Association (ICDA), noted that AMC Season 3 will provide a unique platform to showcase the continent’s creative and commercial potential.

The partnership comes at a pivotal moment for African trade. In 2024, diaspora remittances into Africa exceeded $104 billion, foreign direct investment surged 75% to $97 billion, and intra-African trade reached $220 billion as the AfCFTA moves from agreement to execution.
Yet structural friction remains acute, with small and medium enterprises which provide roughly 80% of employment across Africa remaining the segment most exposed to regulatory fragmentation, financing gaps, and logistics costs.

Bombo Investments was built specifically to address this gap.
Organized into three integrated operating divisions. The Incubation Hub (advisory and risk-shielding), The Growth Chamber (import, export, and trade logistics), and The Realization Phase (market entry and scaling) the firm provides a single corridor through which capital and commerce can move from first contact to full maturity.

AMC Season 3, returning to Ghana after Season 2 in Uganda, will bring together 12 finalists for a month-long residency at the Pan-African House in Accra, culminating in a Grand Finale at the National Theatre in September 2026. The partnership with Bombo Investments will see the integration of trade-focused programming into the AMC experience, including educational sessions for finalists on intra-African trade, structured engagement with AfCFTA protocols, and practical pathways for brands to access new markets across the continent.
