Iran launches fresh attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain

Beirut, July 20 (dpa/GNA) – Iran launched fresh attacks on Kuwait on Monday afternoon, prompting the country’s military to activate air defences to intercept incoming missiles and drones.

The Kuwaiti army said on X that any explosions heard, were the result of air defence interception measures. It did not immediately provide further details on the attacks or report any casualties or damage. Air raid sirens also sounded again in neighbouring Bahrain, where the Interior Ministry urged residents to move to a safe location.

The attacks came as the United States, continues its campaign of strikes on targets in Iran, while Tehran carries out retaliatory attacks on countries hosting US military bases in the region.

Kuwait and Bahrain, both key US allies in the Gulf that host American military facilities, also came under Iranian attack earlier on Monday.
