Inspiraystonner unveils new EP ‘The Journey’, reflecting survival, hope

Accra, July 28, GNA – Nigerian singer-songwriter Inspiraystonner has released a new seven-track extended play (EP) titled ‘The Journey’, a deeply personal Afro-fusion project inspired by his experiences of struggle, perseverance, faith and self-discovery.

The project explores themes of pain, survival, ambition, growth and hope, offering listeners an intimate look into the artist’s journey through life’s challenges.

Blending Afrobeats, street-hop, melodic rap, prayer music and traditional Yoruba storytelling, ‘The Journey’ reflects both his personal experiences and broader realities faced by many young people striving to achieve their dreams.

According to Inspiraystonner, the EP is more than a musical project; it reflects real-life experiences and the determination to overcome adversity.

“The Journey is more than music. It’s real life,” he said. “Every track represents a phase of survival, from pain, prayer and pressure to growth, love, hustle and hope. This project is for everyone trying to become something despite where they come from.”

The project opens with ‘Do More’, a motivational anthem centred on resilience, gratitude and faith, followed by IFE OLÙGBÀLÀ, a spiritually driven track focused on divine protection and perseverance.

Another standout track, OHUN ÒYE Ẹ̀DÁ, delves into themes of grief, family loss and spiritual reflection through rich Yoruba narratives and emotional storytelling.

Inspiraystonner also showcases a more confident and street-inspired side on DIFFERENT STYLE, while the title track JOURNEY serves as the emotional centrepiece of the EP.

Built around the lyrics, “The journey choke but I’m still on my grind,” the song captures the project’s core message of determination, faith and persistence in the face of hardship.

The EP balances its reflective themes with lighter moments. “On My Room”, featuring Cool JB and Samshaddow, the artist explores love, attraction and nightlife through upbeat Afro-fusion sounds. The closing track, HOOD, returns to themes of pressure, survival and the pursuit of success through music.

Musically, ‘The Journey’ combines Afrobeat, Afro-fusion, street-pop, Afro-drill influences and Yoruba folk elements.

The project fuses contemporary Nigerian slang, emotional melodies and spiritual themes to create a sound that is both authentic and relatable.

With songs such as JOURNEY and OHUN ÒYE Ẹ̀DÁ, the EP offers a mix of motivation and introspection, positioning Inspiraystonner as one of Nigeria’s emerging talents.

The ‘Journey’ is now available on major digital streaming platforms worldwide.
