Hohoe MCE commends schools, institutions for participating in nationwide clean-up exercise

Hohoe (V/R), July 11, GNA – Mr Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has commended schools, institutions, security agencies and residents for observing the nationwide General Cleaning Exercise. 

He said he was encouraged by the enthusiasm and commitment displayed by school authorities, teachers, pupils and supervisors in ensuring their school compounds and immediate surroundings were kept clean.  

Mr Kumi who visited some schools in the Municipality as part of the first phase of the two-day exercise, called on all residents to actively participate in the second phase.  

He called on traders, businesses, and community groups to come out in their numbers and make Hohoe a shining example of environmental responsibility.  

Mr Kumi also commended the Volta North Regional Police Command together with sanitation agencies for their efforts in leading the municipality-wide sanitation exercise as part of the government’s post-flood recovery initiative. 

He commended staff of SSNIT Hohoe, Ghana Education Service, Zoomlion, MuSAP, sanitation officers, and all stakeholders whose collective efforts contributed to the success of the exercise.  

Mr Kumi said the commitment of the institutions to environmental cleanliness and public health was highly commendable.
