Vapo, July 28, GNA – Mr James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, together with Mr Ernest Adevor, the North Dayi District Chief Executive and Mrs Joycelyn Quarshie Tetteh, the Member of Parliament for North Dayi have broken grounds for the construction of a two-storey girls’ dormitory at the Anfoega Senior High School to improve educational infrastructure in the district.

The sod-cutting ceremony formed part of the Regional Minister’s working visit to the North Dayi Constituency on Monday, during which he also commissioned two 10,000-litre capacity mechanised boreholes at the Anfoega Senior High School and Vakpo Senior High School under Phase II of the Water for All Project.

Mr Gunu said the mechanised boreholes, powered by both the national electricity grid and solar energy, would provide a reliable and sustainable supply of safe drinking water for students, staff and the school communities.

He noted that the interventions formed part of government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and ensuring access to potable water in schools across the Volta Region.
