Accra, July 23, GNA – Mr Philip Fiifi Buckman, the Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim, has expressed confidence that Ghana’s economy is in safe hands under the Mahama-led administration, stressing that the country is not relying on foreign aid for stability.
Speaking to the media ahead of the presentation of the Mid-Year Budget Review, Mr Buckman said the government had succeeded in stabilising the economy and laid the foundation for sustainable growth.
He noted that the next two years of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government would focus on job creation and expanding opportunities for the youth.
Mr Buckman emphasised that the administration’s fiscal discipline and prudent management of resources had restored investor confidence, while ongoing reforms were expected to consolidate gains in key sectors.
He assured constituents and the wider public that the government’s policies were geared towards ensuring inclusive development and reducing dependency on external support.
