Accra, July 23, GNA – Resonate Ghana, a business consulting firm, with support from the Office of the Diaspora Affairs and Black Star Experience at the Presidency, has announced plans to host Ghana’s inaugural international auto trade fair and exhibition in Accra.
Scheduled for November 24 to 28, this year, at Black Star Square, the Ghana International Auto Trade Fair & Exhibition (GATFE 26) aims to position Ghana as a regional automotive hub in West Africa to stimulate economic growth through job creation and enhance skills development.
The five-day event will serve as a one-stop platform for networking, deal-making, and showcasing the future of mobility in the country whilst driving industrialisation, promoting innovation and opening export opportunities for both local and international players.
It will bring together key prominent stakeholders across Ghana’s automotive value chain, including spare parts dealers, auto mechanics, vehicle importers, manufacturers, logistics firms, financial institutions, policymakers, insurers, regulators, and technology providers.
Speaking ahead of the event on Wednesday, Madam Theodorah M. Wuni, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Resonate Ghana, called on strategic funding partners, sponsors and government institutions to support the landmark fair.
She said it was imperative for sponsors, partners, donors and government agencies to ensure the success of GATFE 26 and to leverage its potential to transform the automotive landscape in Ghana.
“In return, partners will gain high-value visibility, market access, brand positioning and direct engagement with a targeted audience,” she said.
Madam Wuni said economic growth would be driven by boosting trade, attracting investment, and enhancing productivity in the auto sector, adding that the fair would offer training workshops and demonstrations for mechanics, technicians, and small and medium sized enterprises.
“Visitors and exhibitors can expect to see the latest vehicles, aftermarket products, tools and cutting-edge technologies. The exhibition will also highlight innovation in manufacturing, after-sales service, and sustainable transport solutions,” she added.
