Dambai (O/R), July 26, GNA – The Abuamang-Acha Abelor Youth Association of Dambai has congratulated Professor Inusah Hussein and Dr Fred Alpha Adams on their appointments as Principal and Vice Principal of the Dambai College of Education (DACE).
The Association described the development as a significant step towards strengthening teacher education in the Oti Region.
In a press statement signed by Mr Daniel Bamease, Secretary of the Association, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the group said the appointments marked an important milestone in the continued growth, transformation and repositioning of the College as a centre of academic excellence.
The Association expressed confidence that the vast experience, leadership qualities and commitment of the two appointees would provide the strategic direction needed to advance the institution and contribute to the training of quality teachers for national development.
“We are confident that their wealth of experience, visionary leadership, and commitment to academic excellence will provide the strategic direction needed to advance the institution and produce quality teachers for national development,” the statement stated.
The Youth Association commended the Minister for Education, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, and the Director-General of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), Professor Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai, for their efforts to strengthen leadership, governance and policy direction within Ghana’s tertiary education sector.
The statement also acknowledged the diligence of the Governing Council of the Dambai College of Education, chaired by Mr John Majisi, and the Search Committee, chaired by Professor Mahama Duwiejua, for conducting what it described as a transparent and credible process that culminated in the appointments.
The Association further expressed appreciation to opinion leaders, stakeholders, the youth and the entire Dambai community for their continued support, which contributed to the growth, peace and stability of the College.
“As sons and daughters of the land, we take great pride in these appointments. We look forward to a new era of unity, innovation, collaboration and sustainable development under this leadership,” the statement added.
The Abuamang-Acha Abelor Youth Association called on students, staff, alumni and other stakeholders of the College to support the new administration to enable it to effectively deliver on its mandate.
The Association also wished Prof Hussein and Dr Adams wisdom, strength and success as they assumed their respective responsibilities.
