Accra, July 23, GNA – A total of 128 Ghanaian students will embark on this year’s Europe summer camp and educational tour organised by Edibeck Consult in partnership with Summer Camp Holland in the Netherlands.
The students, aged between seven and 17 years, will embark on a three-week tour of historical and educational sites in the Netherlands, Germany, France and Belgium.
They would depart from Ghana on Saturday, July 25 and return on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
They would spend 10 days in the Netherlands, which is the host country; then five days in Belgium, another five days in France and one day in Germany.
Mr Kwadwo Obiri Ampong, Chief Executive Officer of Edibeck Consult, disclosed this at a pre-departure press briefing organised in Accra.
The briefing, on the theme, “Ghana in Focus: Culture, Innovations and Global Connections” marked the final preparations for participants and their families detailing essential travel guidelines, cultural orientation, and programme expectations.
Mr Ampong said the initiative aimed to promote tourism, cultural exchange, and sharing of ideas between the Ghanaian students and students in the European bloc.
Also, to connect them with other learners in the countries they would be visiting to build their network and experience.
“The world is moving in a pace that connection or networking is so important. They don’t just end the trip just with travelling, but they also make sure that the people that they connect to, it can also benefit them,” he added.
Mr Ampong said the students would also showcase Ghana’s unique culture and traditions, including food and clothing in their visits.
He said they would be visiting the European Parliament in Brussels to learn about how laws and policies are formulated, as well as visit Ghana’s Embassy in Brussels to learn about diplomatic missions.
He said the tour since it started in 2019 with just 13 students had grown into a great platform for students in Ghana to experience the culture and traditions of Europe.
