Sefwi-Boadi (WN R) June 29, GNA – A total of twenty-nine aspirants have been cleared to contest various executive positions in the Bodi Constituency of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP), in the Western North Region.
Mr Gabriel Doh, the Regional Youth Organiser and Secretary to the Elections Committee, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency, GNA, following a successful vetting exercise.
He said two aspirants, Mr Alex Ofori and Mr Joshua Yaw Kwarterng, were contesting for the Constituency Chairmanship position.
For First Vice Chairman, five aspirants: Kojo Numad, Daniel Ofori, Solomon Ababio Ampem, Nana Kankam Dacosta and Johnny Ampem Baffour, were cleared.
Mr Maxwell Kwame Aduhene Gyamfi and Sylvester Gyabeng would contest the Second Vice Chairman position, while Derick Danso and Emmanuel Fuachie were also cleared for the Constituency Secretary.
Mr Prince Nana Nkuah Owusu and Peter Asante would contest the Deputy Secretary position.
Four aspirants: Madam Theresah Bie Aidoo, Madam Grace Ofori, Madam Sara Bie and Madam Elizabeth Fosu, are also vying for the Women Organiser position.
For Constituency Communications Officer, Mr Benedict Sobre Mensah, Mohammed Mustapha and Kum Timothy were cleared to contest, while Mr Kwabena Aseidu and Mr Collins Oppong would compete for the seat of the Treasurer.
Again, Mr Yussif Ibrahim, Razak Frankasa and Abubakar Sadique would also be contesting for the Nasara Organiser position, whereas Mr Mullah Bananba and Francis Gyabeng would contest the Organiser position.
Mr Prempeh Charles Kuffuor and Mr Armah Emmanuel are also in the race for the Youth Organiser position.
Mr Doh said the elections would be held on July 11, 2026, at the Anglican Church in Bodi.
He urged aspirants and their supporters to conduct issue-based and decent campaigns to ensure unity after the constituency elections, ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He indicated that as a committee, they were assuring all aspirants, delegates and major stakeholders of a free, transparent and fair electoral process.
