Stakeholder collaboration key to advancing Bakaano Resort Project – EN.AR Limited

Cape Coast, June 4, GNA – EN.AR Limited, a consultancy firm, has called for stronger collaboration among local authorities, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of the Bakaano Resort Project, a major tourism and hospitality investment in Cape Coast.

The call was made during an engagement with the General Assembly of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA), where the company provided updates on the project and outlined its expected socio-economic benefits for the metropolis.

The project is scheduled to commence early next year and is expected to be completed by August 2028.

Mr Nana Dadzie, an official of EN.AR Limited, said the project, when completed, would boost tourism, create employment opportunities, stimulate local businesses, and contribute significantly to the economic development of Cape Coast and the Central Region.

He noted that consultations with the CCMA, the Oguaa Traditional Council, Assembly Members, and other stakeholders had played an important role in shaping the project to reflect the needs and aspirations of the local community.

Mr Dadzie cited the successful completion of the Akom Grounds as a direct outcome of stakeholder engagement and community input, describing it as an example of what could be achieved through partnerships between private investors, local authorities, and traditional leadership.

He, however, expressed concern over delays affecting the broader Bakaano Resort Project, located at the community gardens at Bakaano.

He attributed the setbacks to challenges related to the removal of unauthorised and dilapidated structures within parts of the project area.

According to him, the situation has restricted access to sections of the development site and slowed progress on subsequent phases of the project over the past two years.

Despite the challenges, EN.AR Limited reaffirmed its commitment to the project and appealed to stakeholders to support efforts aimed at addressing the obstacles.

Mr Dadzie said the resort project remained one of the largest private-sector investments in Cape Coast’s tourism sector and would serve as a catalyst for sustainable tourism development and economic growth.

He emphasised that the vision of the project extended beyond infrastructure development to preserving the cultural heritage of Oguaa while creating opportunities for future generations.

Mr Dadzie expressed appreciation to the Mayor of Cape Coast, the Presiding Member, Assembly Members, traditional authorities, and community stakeholders for their continuous support and engagement.

He emphasised that sustained cooperation among all parties would be essential to ensure the successful completion of the project and the realisation of its benefits for residents and visitors.

EN.AR Limited is a Cape Coast-based company driven by values of humility, integrity, teamwork, and excellence.

Through the Bakaano Resort Project, the company aims to position Cape Coast as a leading destination for tourism, leisure, recreation, and entertainment while creating sustainable economic opportunities for residents.

The project is expected to generate between 295 and 325 direct and indirect jobs during its development and operational phases, with the potential to create more than 500 jobs through related ventures.

By blending tourism, culture, innovation, and community engagement, the Bakaano Resort Project seeks to create lasting value while enhancing the image and attractiveness of Cape Coast as a preferred destination.
