Twifo Praso (C/R), June 10, GNA – Residents of Twifo Praso, the capital of Twifo- Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region, have expressed appreciation for the installation of solar streetlights under government’s 24-hour economy initiative.
Dressmakers, hairdressers, fashion designers, and other business operators praised the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Isaac Yawson, for his commitment to the development of the district.
According to them, the solar lighting project would enhance economic activities by enabling businesses to operate effectively both day and night, especially during power outages.
The residents noted that the project would improve security and create a more conducive environment for businesses and social activities.
However, they appealed to the DCE to also address the poor condition of roads in the district, particularly the Twifo Praso–Bimpon Agya–Kyeaboso road.
They explained that the road becomes difficult to use during the rainy season, making it challenging for farmers and traders to transport their goods to the Twifo Praso market.
Abena Oforiwaa dressmaker, Ama Dansowaa, fashion designer and Adwoa Obenwaa, a business woman, praised the Assembly for the gesture, recounting how it would impact on their livelihoods.
Mr Yawson urged Ghanaians to prioritise development and livelihood opportunities when making electoral decisions, emphasising the need to vote based on policies and progress rather than political party affiliations.
