Resetting Ghana Tour: Mahama speaks at citizens engagement in Cape Coast

Accra, June 27, GNA – President John Dramani Mahama will on Saturday, June 27, engage the chiefs and people of the Central region at a durbar as part of his Resetting Ghana tour. 

Dubbed “The Citizens Engagement”, the event scheduled to take place at the Mephibosheth Training Center at Apam.  

A statement issued by the Presidency said the engagement would be attended by the Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. 

It said this would afford the Government the platform to share with the people of the Central Region ongoing reforms and policy interventions, infrastructure projects to expand the economy, development projects in the Central region and feedback on the impact so far. 

The Citizens Ghana engagement, which is a key component of the #Resetting Ghana Tour also enables the traditional leaders to bring to fore critical concerns and demand for redress of issues of priority to their communities. 

The statement said the President, his Vice and key sector Ministers including Roads and Highways, Health, Education among others expected to address the forum will also take questions from the audience. 

It noted that the President on Day two of his tour would also inspect ongoing road projects captured under the Big Push Program 

These include the Rehabilitation of Apam – Mumford Road project.
