Dambai (O/R), June 15, GNA – Mr Clement Kwasi Kagyi, an aspirant for the position of Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Krachi East Constituency, has stressed the need for prudent financial management to strengthen party structures and enhance grassroots mobilisation.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Dambai, Mr Kagyi said sound financial stewardship was essential for sustaining party activities and building the confidence of members, supporters and donors.
“Prudent financial management at the constituency level is critical. It ensures accountability, promotes transparency, and guarantees that resources are directed towards programmes and activities that advance the party’s objectives,” he said.
Mr Kagyi said he would prioritise transparency and accountability in the management of constituency finances if elected.
He pledged to introduce efficient record-keeping systems, strengthen financial reporting mechanisms, and ensure regular updates to the constituency executive committee and other relevant party structures.
“My vision is to serve with integrity and ensure that the constituency’s financial operations are conducted in a transparent and accountable manner.
Effective resource management is necessary for the party to achieve its goals and maintain the trust of its members,” he added.
Mr Kagyi appealed to delegates to consider his dedication, experience and commitment to the party when casting their votes in the forthcoming constituency elections.
He also called for unity among party members, noting that cohesion and cooperation would be crucial to the NPP’s efforts to strengthen its support base and prepare for future electoral contests.
The NPP is expected to hold constituency-level elections in the coming months to elect officers to various executive positions across the country.
