Accra, June 17, GNA – Members of Parliament on Wednesday, June 17, turned the foyer of the chamber into a lively scene of music and dance as they rallied behind the senior national football team, the Black Stars, ahead of their international friendly against Panama scheduled for 23:00 hours.  Â
The legislators, clad in the national team’s red, yellow, and green jerseys emblazoned with the iconic black star, sang and danced to traditional jama songs to boost morale and demonstrate solidarity with the players.
In addition to the spirited display, several MPs offered words of encouragement, urging the team to play with determination and pride.
They emphasized that the Black Stars carry the hopes of the nation and that their performance on the pitch reflects Ghana’s resilience and unity.
The match against Panama is seen as an important test for the Black Stars as the outcome would go a long way to determine how far they will go in the tournament.
The legislators offered word of prayer for the players and the technical team on the floor of the House.
