NPP disqualifies five aspirants in Sunyani East Constituency – Elections Director

Sunyani (Bono), June 29, GNA -The New Patriotic Party (NPP) vetting committee in the Sunyani East Constituency has disqualified five aspirants who filed their nominations to contest for the various constituency executive positions.   
Mr Henry Osei Karikari, the Bono Regional Director of Elections and Research of the NPP, said 41 aspirants filed their nominations to contest in the constituency elections.   
The leadership of the largest opposition NPP has set July 11 and July 12, 2026, for the conduct of its constituency elections for the Election 2028.   
In an interview with the media in Sunyani, Mr Karikari said the party in the constituency ended the vetting in all the 12 politically administrative constituencies in the region over the weekend.   
He could, however, not immediately give reasons for the disqualification of the five aspirants in the Sunyani East Constituency.   
Mr Karikari said the party in the region would reach out to the media emerging issues and concerns that would emanate from the vetting of the aspirants.
