NPP communications officer aspirant calls for unity, grassroots engagement

By Charles Tawiah, GNA

Kumasi, June 12, GNA – Mr. Emmanuel Nsafoa, an aspiring Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bantama Constituency, has underscored the need for stronger grassroots engagement and party unity as the NPP prepares for the 2028 general elections.

He said sustaining regular interaction with grassroots members and responding to their concerns would be crucial to rebuilding the party’s electoral strength and enhancing its prospects of returning to power.

Mr. Nsafoa made the remarks when he donated a Super Bass radio transmitter valued at GH¢600 to artisans and mechanics at Abrepo in Kumasi.

The donation followed a request by the artisans during one of his campaign visits to the area.

The beneficiaries said the transmitter would enable them to follow live commentary of Ghana’s Black Stars matches and other major sporting events while demonstrating their patriotism and support for the national team.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Nsafoa described effective leadership as the ability to listen to the concerns of people and provide practical solutions that positively impact their lives and livelihoods.

According to him, leadership should not be limited to seeking political office but must involve responding to the genuine needs of constituents and party members.

He said the donation formed part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between the party and its grassroots supporters, stressing that the growth and success of the NPP depended largely on the commitment and welfare of its base.

Mr. Nsafoa noted that his vision was to contribute to expanding the party’s electoral fortunes through continuous engagement with grassroots members, youth groups, artisans, and other identifiable groups within the constituency.

He emphasised that unity among party members at all levels would be a determining factor in the NPP’s efforts to regain political power in 2028.

He appealed to members to put aside their differences and work collectively towards the party’s common goal.

Mr. Alex Acheampong, leader of the artisans, thanked Mr. Nsafoa for the donation and commended him for responding promptly to their request.

He expressed the hope that political leaders and aspirants would continue to engage with and support community groups beyond election periods.
