PARIS, June 10 (Xinhua/GNA) — A French soldier was killed in an accidental shooting incident during a mission in Lebanon, the French Army said on Wednesday.
The soldier was identified as Private First Class Florian Gillet, in an announcement on social media by General Pierre Schill, chief of staff of the French army.
Gillet was deployed to Lebanon as part of an operational partnership mission, to support the Lebanese Armed Forces, Schill said.
He said The soldier was accidentally shot during preparations for a training exercise. GNA
