Accra, June 18, GNA — Forms Capital Limited has partnered with Hack54, a 48-hour user experience (UX)-focused hackathon aimed at turning ideas into functional minimum viable products.
The initiative seeks to accelerate digital finance transformation, expand financial inclusion and empower young innovators across Ghana and the rest of Africa.
The second edition of Hack54, sponsored by Forms Capital, organised by Socialite AF Ltd. in collaboration with The DSGN Junkies, would take place from July 14 to 17, 2026, at the Google AI Community Center in Accra.
The event is expected to bring together developers, designers, product specialists and entrepreneurs to develop solutions addressing real-world financial challenges, particularly in emerging markets.
“At Forms Capital, we believe the future of finance will be shaped by digital innovation that solves real problems for real people,” said Mr Ishmael Abbey, Head of Business Development at Forms Capital Limited.
“Our transformation journey goes beyond banking; it is about building inclusive financial systems that reach more people, especially the underserved. Partnering with Hack54 gives us the opportunity to invest in bold ideas, support young innovators and help shape solutions that can redefine financial access across Africa,” he added.
Mr Abbey added that the partnership forms part of the company’s broader strategy to promote digital-first financial solutions, improve customer experience through technology and create economic opportunities for young people.
“By investing in platforms such as Hack54, the company seeks to nurture innovation ecosystems that produce scalable solutions for savings, lending, payments, investments and digital asset management,” he said.
Hack54 builds on the success of HealthHack 2025, which attracted more than 60 participants and produced healthcare-related solutions.
“Forms Capital’s involvement signals the growing importance of collaboration between financial institutions and innovation communities,” said Klenam Fiadzoe, co-founder of DSGN Junkies and a partner of the Hack54 series.
“Their vision for digital transformation and financial inclusion aligns perfectly with what Hack54 stands for — building solutions that create meaningful impact,” he added.
Winning teams would have the opportunity to pitch their solutions on platforms such as Tech in Ghana and The Vault, giving them access to venture capital networks, angel investors and strategic partners.
Applications for Hack54 are open from June 17 to June 26, 2026, with developers, designers, product managers and finance enthusiasts encouraged to apply via the event’s official website and social media platforms.
