Duayaw-Nkwanta, (Ahafo), June 4, GNA-Dr Gideon Boako, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano North Constituency in the Ahafo Region has pledged to improve access to potable water and to better the quality of life of the constituents.
In an interview with the media on the sidelines of visit to inspect works on projects in the constituency, the MP said he was constructing 45 water projects, spread across the deprived communities.
Dr Boako, who inspected construction works on some of the water projects, said 25 of those projects were mechanised boreholes and 20 hand pump boreholes, aimed at addressing the perennial water challenges in the communities.
He said he was highly satisfied with the level of work on the projects and commended the contractors for quality work done.
Dr Boako assured the constituents of his dedication in ensuring that potable drinking water was not a problem in the area.
He pledged to hand over those projects to the communities for use immediately when they were completed.
He emphasised that providing basic social amenities remained his priority and assured the constituents of his commitment to do so to enhance the livelihoods of the community members.
At Bafokrom where the MP commissioned a mechanized borehole, the residents commended Dr Boako, describing the water facility as timely and essential.
