Accra, June 16, GNA – The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has announced that cocoa farmers will receive GHS 2,587.00 per 64-kilogramme bag for the 2026 Light Crop cocoa season.
A circular issued by COCOBOD and signed by Dr Francis Baah, the Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Agronomy and Quality Control, said purchases for the season would commence on Thursday, June 18, at all designated buying centres across the country.
“The approved producer price translates to GHS 1,241.76 per 30kg load for both Grade I and Grade II cocoa beans, ex-scale,”” it said.
The circular added that a tonne of cocoa, equivalent to 16 bags, would be sold at GHS 41,392.00, maintaining the structured pricing system used within the cocoa sector.
