Accra, June 4, GNA – Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, have arrived in the United States to continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team departed Cardiff on Wednesday afternoon and landed in Washington, D.C. later that evening at about 21:00 hours local time.
Officials from the Ghana High Commission welcomed the squad upon arrival.
The team enters the final stage of its build-up to the tournament following a 1-1 draw with Wales in Cardiff on Tuesday, a performance expected to boost confidence ahead of the competition.
Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz and his players are scheduled to resume training on Thursday as they fine-tune tactics for the tournament, which begins on June 11, 2026.
The Black Stars are expected to play another friendly match before their Group L opener against Panama in Toronto.
They would then face England in Boston before concluding the group stage against Croatia in Philadelphia.
