Berekum East MP Cuts Sods for New TVTI and Basic School Projects

Berekum (Bono), June 18, GNA – Mr Simon Ampaabeng Kyeremeh, Member of Parliament for Berekum East in the Bono Region, has cut sod for the commencement of a Technical and Vocational Training Institute (TVTI) project at Senase in the Berekum Municipality. 

He also performed another sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a new basic school at Sofokyere in the area. 

Speaking at separate ceremonies at Senase and Sofokyere, Mr Kyeremeh said he was funding the projects to expand access to quality education and improve learning infrastructure in the constituency. 

He handed over the sites to JS Skytech Limited, the contractors, and urged them to expedite work on the TVTI project to ensure its completion within 18 months. 

He explained that the TVTI was essential to equip young people with employable skills and create job opportunities in the area. 

Mr Kyeremeh added that the Sofokyere Basic School project was expected to be completed within four months to improve access to education and reduce the burden on pupils who currently walk long distances to school in Berekum. 

He further advised families to prioritise the education of their children alongside government efforts to improve facilities. 

Osabarima Agyeman Sabi, Chief of Senase, commended the MP for his commitment to development and urged government to consider constructing a modern sports complex to nurture sporting talents in the area. 

Mr David Owusu Ansah, Berekum Municipal Director of Education, expressed appreciation to the MP and government for improving educational infrastructure in the municipality. 

Mr Wilson Amevor, Managing Director of JS Skytech Limited, assured stakeholders that with cooperation, the company would complete the projects within schedule.
