Sekondi MP rolls out social intervention initiatives to better living conditions

Sekondi (W/R), May 10, GNA – Mr. Blay Nyameke Armah, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sekondi Constituency, has rolled out social intervention initiatives to better the living conditions of residents in the constituency.  

 The initiatives formed part of life-changing opportunities designed by the office of the MP to give the Sekondi constituency, a general facelift and restore the once glamorous Twin-City, to its former glory. 

Ms. Baaba Bentil, Personal Assistant to the MP for Sekondi told Ghana News Agency in an interview in the Western Region. 

According to her, the MP recently rolled out an initiative dubbed, “ Sekunde NSU”, a sachet water firm with the intention to manufacture purified water and sell to the general public at a relatively reduced rate compared to the price on the commodity market.  

She said proceeds from the pure water firm would largely go into the funding of free annual exercise books distribution to school children in the constituency. 

The “Sekunde NSU “initiative has been hailed by residents in the area as it had brought a great relief to them. 

 Ms. Baaba Bentil, asserted that the office was also working tirelessly on the “Sekunde Print”. 

The printing press company which is designed to make the printing of free annual distribution of exercise books and in addition textbooks to school children from both government and private basic schools in the Sekondi constituency. 

She said the initiative would relieve parents of the burden of providing educational materials on them. 

The initiative also formed part of Mr Blay Nyameke Armah’s avowed commitment to good quality education delivery.
