Sunyani, (Bono), May 10, GNA – Hajia Samira Sulley, an aspirant contesting for the Bono Regional Women Organiser position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commended mothers and women for building and strengthening family and societal bonds.
“You are the first teachers, the quiet warriors, the heartbeat of our homes, and the steady force that holds our communities together”, she stated in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani to mark the Mother’s Day celebration.
Hajia Sulley stated that: “From the market women of Sunyani to the farmers of Wenchi, from the teachers in Dormaa to the young mothers in every village across our region, your sacrifice is seen, your love is felt, and your contribution to our nation is immeasurable”.
She expressed appreciation to mothers in the NPP for raising the next generation of leaders, saying that: “The strength of our party and our region is built on the foundation you lay in your homes”.
“As someone who hopes to serve as your Regional Women’s Organizer, I know that empowering mothers means empowering Ghana”, she stated.
Hajia Sulley added that: “This means fighting for better access to healthcare, supporting women in trade and agriculture, creating safer spaces for girls, and ensuring that every mother has the opportunity to build a dignified life for herself and her children”.
“In fact, these aren’t just party promises-they are personal to me because I see them in your daily struggles and your daily triumphs”, she added, saying that: “Today is for you to be celebrated, rested, and reminded that your work matters. You are not invisible”.
“Your prayers, your sleepless nights, and your resilience are shaping the future of Bono Region and Ghana”, she said and prayed that God would grant all mothers good health, peace of mind, and joy.
Hajia Sulley said that “May you feel appreciated not just today, but every day. Know that as we organize and prepare for the road ahead, women and mothers will remain at the center of our vision”.
