Dambai (O/R), May 29, GNA – Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab, Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi East Constituency, has urged constituents to embrace financial planning and prioritise insurance as a safeguard for household security and long-term economic stability.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr Djabab, who also serves as a Board Director of SIC Life Insurance Company Limited, described the company as one of Ghana’s leading insurance providers committed to offering reliable life insurance coverage, financial security and wealth creation opportunities.
He stressed the importance of proactive financial protection, noting that insurance remains one of the most effective ways for families to manage unforeseen risks and protect their livelihoods.
“Financial security is not a luxury; it is a necessity. As a people, we must cultivate the habit of planning for the future. Insurance serves as a strong safety net for families and individuals against unexpected circumstances,” he said.
Mr Djabab underscored the critical role of regulated financial institutions in promoting economic resilience and encouraged traders, farmers, public sector workers and other residents to take advantage of available SIC Life insurance schemes to secure their assets and dependants.
According to him, promoting a culture of savings and insurance aligns with national efforts to deepen financial inclusion and reduce household vulnerability across the country.
The MP further highlighted the need for sustained public education on financial literacy, explaining that many citizens still lack adequate knowledge about the long-term benefits of insurance and proper financial planning.
