Ho, May 7, GNA – Mr Stephen Adom, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Ho Municipal Assembly, has officially handed over a site for the construction of the proposed 24-Hour Economy Market at Titrinu in Ho to Georotche Company Ltd.
The project forms part of efforts to improve trading activities, create employment opportunities, and stimulate economic growth within the Municipality.
Speaking during the handing-over ceremony, Mr Adom described the initiative as a transformative project expected to enhance commercial activities and improve livelihoods in Ho and surrounding communities.
“This project represents a major step towards strengthening local trade and supporting economic development in the municipality,” he said.
He expressed confidence in the contractor’s ability to execute the project professionally and within the stipulated timeframe.
“We believe the contractor will deliver quality work that will meet the expectations of the people,” he added.
The MCE noted that the market project aligned with the government’s broader vision of promoting economic empowerment and creating sustainable opportunities for traders and small-scale businesses.
He urged residents and stakeholders to cooperate fully with the contractor to ensure smooth execution of the project.
The Assembly, he said, remained committed to supporting initiatives that would improve infrastructure and drive economic transformation within the municipality.
Residents and traders have welcomed the project, expressing optimism that the facility would help expand business opportunities and boost commercial activities in the area.
