Wenchi, (Bono), May 12, GNA – Mrs Mary Nyarko Adu-Twum, the Wenchi Municipal Director of Education has urged families to encourage graduates of the just ended Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to acquire employable skills training as they await their results.

In an interview with the media at Wenchi in the Bono Region, she urged families to ensure that the Junior High School graduates use their waiting period to develop and acquire valuable skills, instead of roaming idling.
She said the female graduates could learn hairdressing or dressmaking as well as body makeup as their male counterparts went to carpentry, auto-mechanics and electricals, saying doing so would aid them in life.
“You shouldn’t idle around this time because engaging in basic employable skills while you wait for your BECE results will help you in future”, she advised the graduates.

Mrs Adu-Twum reminded them that roaming around idling could land them in trouble and advised the graduates to live a healthy lifestyle and avoid bad peers who could influence them negatively.
