Wenchi, (Bono), May 07, GNA-Mr Eric Osei, the Assembly Member for the Akrobi Electoral Area in the Wenchi Municipality of Bono Region, has provided free bus to transport the candidates writing the on-going Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the area to the examination centres.

Additionally, he donated mathematical sets, rulers, pens and pencils to the 50 candidates to motivate them to give of their best in the exams.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after a short presentation ceremony at Wenchi, Mr Osei said the gesture was not only to motivate the candidates but also enabled them to reach the exams centers on time.

He advised the candidates to remain studious, confident and do independent work to obtain better grades and continue their education.

Mr Osei urged the candidates to stand against the temptation of examination malpractices like copying and sending unauthorized materials to the examination hall, saying that doing so could lead to the cancellation of their results and truncate their education.

Some of the candidates expressed their appreciation to the donor for the gesture and pledged to study hard to get good grades.
