By Nana Kwame Essel

Twifo Eduabeng (C/R), May 14, GNA-Mr Latif Adae, Assembly Member for Eduabeng Electoral Area in the Twifo-Atti- Morkwa District of the Central Region, has voiced concerns about the arrests of teachers for their involvement in Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) examination malpractices.

He criticised the affected teachers for failing to perform their duties as invigilators and engaging in acts that affected the integrity of the examination.

He made the condemnation when he visited Eduabeng D/A basic school to congratulate the 2026 BECE candidates on completion of their examination with food and beverages to the candidates.

Mr Adae described the arrests as shameful, highlighting the importance of teaching students well to prepare them for exams.

Mr Robert Nuamah, headteacher of Twifo Eduabeng D/A Basic School, advised teachers to avoid engaging in exams malpractices.

He emphasised the disgrace brought to both the individual and the institution and expressed gratitude.
