5.4-magnitude quake hits Tonga Islands region — GFZ

BEIJING, May 26, (Xinhua/GNA) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4, jolted Tonga Islands region at 1912 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 17.82 degrees south latitude and 172.65 degrees west longitude.
