Ho, April 15, GNA – Ten distinguished scholars of the Ho Technical University (HTU) have been recognised in the 2026 AD Scientific Index, which ranks Ghana’s top 1000 scientists.
The recognition demonstrates the rising academic influence of the technical university, and the achievement cements HTU’s growing reputation as a hub for impactful research and innovation among the country’s tertiary institutions.
The honoured academics are Professor Edem Azila Gbetor, Prof Courage Sedem Dzah, Prof Christopher Mensah, Prof Ben Honyenuga, Dr Mathew Quayson, Prof Maxwell Selase Akple, Prof Richard Fiifi Turkson, Prof Deodat Emilson Adenutsi, Dr Maxwell Kwame Boakye, and Dr Selase Kofi Adanu.
Their inclusion reflects HTU’s diverse contributions across engineering, applied sciences, business, and community-focused studies.
Prof Ben Honyenuga, the Vice-Chancellor, speaking on the achievement in interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), described the recognition as a source of pride and motivation.
He noted that HTU’s strong representation, the highest among Ghana’s technical universities – affirms the institution’s dedication to nurturing scholarship that resonates both locally and globally.
With this latest feat, the HTU stands tall among its peers, proving that technical universities can be powerhouses of knowledge creation and innovation.
The recognition of its academics in the AD Scientific Index, coupled with its rise into the nation’s top 20 universities, is not only a celebration of scholarly excellence but also a beacon of institutional pride and promise for the future.
