TDC Ladies Association launches 30th anniversary celebrations

Tema, April 15, GNA – The TDC Ladies Association of Tema Development Corporation Ghana Limited (TDC) has launched its thirtieth anniversary celebrations aimed at promoting women’s empowerment, recognising their contributions to society and the workplace, and advancing gender equality. 

 The anniversary is on the theme: “Connected by Purpose, Driven by Passion”. 

 Mrs Barbara Ayesu, a Board Member of TDC, urged the association to use the milestone to empower more women, particularly those who were disadvantaged, by creating platforms to enhance their independence, mobility and technical skills. 

Mrs Ayesu encouraged the association to strengthen networking among professional women to promote mentorship and support the development of young and vulnerable girls. 

She also advised members to remain committed to supporting women towards economic empowerment and personal growth, emphasising the need for women to be their own champions and strive to achieve their goals. 

Mr Courage Makafui Nunekpeku, the Managing Director of TDC, commended the association for its contribution to the organisation, stating that the TDC Ladies had played a vital role in driving performance, fostering innovation and enhancing workplace culture. 

“To achieve our milestones, we must continue to empower women in their pivotal roles across the company,” he said. 

 Mrs Kate Annan-Quayson, the President of the TDC Ladies Association, encouraged members to build trust within the group and resolve conflicts constructively. 

She called on them to remain committed to mentoring younger women and celebrating one another’s achievements to create a ripple effect of success across the organisation.
