Dakar, pril 27, (dpa/GNA) – A small passenger plane has crashed in South Sudan, killing all 14 people on board.
The aircraft was en route from the town of Yei to the capital Juba, some 130 kilometres away, the East African country’s aviation authority said on Monday. Radio contact was lost shortly after take-off.
According to the authority, preliminary reports point to bad weather and poor visibility as the cause.
The victims are reported to be 12 South Sudanese and two Kenyan nationals. The aircraft, a Cessna 208 Caravan, was operated by CityLink Aviation. The airline could not initially be reached for comment.
