Accra, April 6, GNA – The Ghana Police Service in the Ashanti Region has retrieved a stolen unregistered 2019 Honda CRV belonging to a lawyer, Alfred Gyimah.

A police brief said the vehicle was stolen on April 2, 2026, from his premises where it had been parked.

The retrieval followed an intelligence‑led operation by the Police Intelligence Directorate (PID).

The brief stated that covert intelligence led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle along the Bohyen–Asoufia Highway at Asobonteng, near Kumasi Girls Senior High School, on April 4, 2026.

It said Mr Gyimah reported the theft on April 3, 2026.

“A team from the unit proceeded to the scene of crime and intelligence gathered indicated that the alleged thief or thieves had access into the complainant’s apartment through the kitchen door into the house before taking away the ignition keys of his locked vehicle which was on the dining table,” the brief noted.

The Police said investigations were underway to locate and apprehend the suspect or suspects.
