Kings and Queens Cottage hosts 6th Easter Health Walk to promote unity and wellness

Agortorme (V/R), April 8, GNA – Kings and Queens Cottage, a youth-based organisation in Agortorme, has successfully organised the sixth edition of its annual “Arise with Christ” Easter Health Walk, drawing large participation from residents and visitors. 

The 2026 edition attracted thousands of participants, including youth, the elderly, and members of the diaspora, who gathered to take part in the exercise aimed at promoting healthy living and community bonding during the festivities. 

Mr Freedom Etsey Lavoe, popularly known as Zigato and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the group, said the initiative was designed to foster unity among young people while encouraging physical fitness. 

“The health walk is not just about exercise; it is about bringing the youth together, especially during festive periods, to strengthen unity and promote a healthy lifestyle,” he said. 

He said consistent growth in participation over the years reflected the relevance of the initiative and the commitment of the group to community development. 

Participants who spoke to the Ghana News Agency commended the organizers for sustaining the event, describing it as impactful and well-coordinated. 

dThey observed that the programme continues to grow in scale and significance each year. 

Some participants also expressed optimism that future editions would be even bigger, with more activities introduced to enhance engagement and broaden its impact. 

The Kings and Queens Cottage group has, over the years, positioned the Easter Health Walk as a key social and wellness event in Agortorme, contributing to community cohesion and promoting positive lifestyles among residents.
