Kadjebi (O/R), April 2, GNA — Rev. Vincent Darkpo, Kadjebi District Pastor of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has urged Christians to be agents of positive change by “shining wherever they are” and contributing meaningfully to society.
He called on believers to take responsibility for uplifting vulnerable groups, including children, youth, women, and men, whom he said were exposed to the challenges of a “darkened world.”
“You have an assignment to carry on,” Rev. Darkpo emphasised, stressing the need for Christians to live purpose-driven lives that reflect their faith.
The Reverend Minister, who also serves as Chairman of the Kadjebi Local Council of Churches, made the call during a Cluster Easter Service organised by World Vision Ghana’s Agortime Cluster Office at Kadjebi in the Oti Region.
Speaking on the theme, “Our Collective Effort,” he urged Christians to remain active, determined, and intentional in their walk with God and service to humanity.
He encouraged believers to be resolute, committed, and decisive in following the teachings of Christ, especially during the Easter season, which commemorates the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind.
“He died because of our sins,” he stated, adding that the significance of Easter should inspire Christians to demonstrate love, compassion, and selflessness in their daily lives.
Rev. Darkpo further called for unity among churches and stakeholders to collectively address societal challenges, particularly those affecting vulnerable populations.
He noted that collaborative efforts by faith-based organisations and development partners were essential for promoting social transformation and improving livelihoods within communities.
The Easter service brought together congregants, church leaders, heads of departments, and community members, who were encouraged to renew their commitment to spiritual growth and community development.
