Afadzato South NADMO supports disaster victims with relief items

Ve-Golokuati (V/R), April 16, GNA – The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the Afadzato South District of the Volta region, has presented relief items to disaster victims in some communities of the district. 

The items donated including roofing sheets, roofing materials, bags of rice, maize, and cooking oil are meant to alleviate the plight of the victims as well as meet both shelter and food needs of affected households. 

The intervention followed a rainstorm that caused extensive damage at Toganū and a separate domestic fire outbreak at Leklebi Dafor.  

In response, NADMO officials visited the affected communities and presented relief items to assist the victims in their recovery process. 

Mr Maxwell Worlanyo Korkutse, Afadzato South District Director of NADMO, assured affected families of continued support and timely response to disaster situations within the district. 

He reiterated NADMO’s commitment to ensuring that victims received the necessary assistance to recover and rebuild their livelihoods. 

The victims expressed gratitude to the Organisation and the government for the timely intervention and support which was a great relief.
