Sunyani, (Bono), March 17, GNA-Mr Vincent Antwi Agyei, the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive says Sunyani is set to host the Regional Accountability Series, to be chaired by President John Dramani Mahama.
He said the President was expected to arrive in the regional capital on Wednesday March 18 for the Regional Accountability Series.
Mr Agyei explained that President Mahama instituted the Series to offer an opportunity for the various Regional Ministers, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) to account for their stewardships.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, Mr Agyei explained that the regional accountability series would be held at the Eusbett International Center.
He said President Mahama would be in the region for two days, explaining that the president would also address a durbar of chiefs and people of the region at the Sunyani Jubilee Park on Thursday March 19.
Mr Agyei said President Mahama would also inspect the progress of work on the on-going construction of some GETFUND educational facilities at the Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC) too.
The President would also inspect work on the construction of the Sunyani Outer Ring Road project.
Meanwhile, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) noticed that major painting works were on-going on the flower beds of the principal streets to welcome the President to the regional capital.
