Paga (U/E), March 17, GNA – Mr Wenawome Duriyem Aborah, Managing Director of Kacstone Record, has donated 140 textbooks to support basic education in the Kassena-Nankana West District.

The textbooks, covering core subjects, will be distributed to 10 selected underserved schools in the district to enhance teaching and learning.

The donation was presented on behalf of Mr Aborah by Mr Raymond Adda during this year’s Independence Day (Ghana) celebration in the district.

Presenting the books, Mr Adda said the gesture formed part of Mr Aborah’s commitment to supporting youth development and promoting quality education in the district and beyond.

He explained that the donation aligned with this year’s Independence Day theme, “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope.”

“On behalf of the President of the Paga Youth Movement, who also doubles as the Managing Director of Kacstone Record, we are presenting 140 textbooks to the District Directorate of Education to support schools in the district,” he said.

Mr Adda expressed the hope that the educational materials would motivate students to study hard and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities and the nation.

Under the distribution plan, five selected Junior High Schools will each receive four sets of core subject textbooks—Mathematics, English Language, Integrated Science and Social Studies—covering the Basic Seven to Basic Nine syllabus.

This amounts to 20 textbooks for the Junior High Schools.

Similarly, five Primary Schools will receive textbooks in Mathematics, English Language, Science and Computing for Basic One to Basic Six.

Each primary school will receive four textbooks per class, bringing the total number allocated to the Primary Schools to 120.

In addition to the textbooks, the Paga Youth Movement presented assorted soft drinks to support the Independence Day celebration.

Receiving the items, Madam Mary Magdalene Wompakeah, District Director of Education for the Ghana Education Service in the Kassena-Nankana West District, expressed gratitude to Mr Aborah for his continued support to education in the district.

She said Mr Aborah had consistently supported the Directorate over the years and played a key role in addressing some of the challenges facing it.

“If today he has provided basic educational materials to us, we can only say that God should bless him,” she said.

Madam Wompakeah noted that the textbooks would help improve teaching and learning in the beneficiary schools and enhance the quality of education in the district.

She prayed that the donor would continue to receive the resources and strength to support education in the years ahead.

“May the source from which he released the money be replenished so that as the years go by, he will continue to assist us,” she added.
