Ho (V/R), March 10, GNA – Members of the Kabore Old Pupils Association 2015-year group (KOPA), returned to their alma mater on Ghana’s Independence Day, years after their completion, to provide health support and make donations.

The class of 2015 celebrated ten years after completing from the school by giving back to the Kabore Basic School in the Volta Region.

The group, made up of former students, who completed Kabore Junior High School (JHS) in 2015, visited the school to interact with teachers and students, while undertaking a series of welfare activities.

As part of the celebration, the Association organised free eye screening for all current teachers at both the primary and Junior High School levels and provided reading glasses to those who required them.

The group also donated football jerseys and football to support sporting activities among pupils of the primary and JHS departments of the school.

Madam Patience Gegemah, the Headteacher of Kabore JHS, expressed appreciation to the former students for remembering their roots and contributing to the welfare of teachers and pupils.

“We are grateful that after ten years, our former students still remember the school and have returned to support us. This gesture will motivate both teachers and pupils,” she said.

On behalf of the group, Mr Jones Adzi, told Ghana News Agency (GNA) that members of KOPA 15 visit formed part of their commitment to honour the institution and teachers who shaped their lives.

He noted that although the support provided might appear modest, the group intended to organise bigger interventions in the future to further assist the school community.
