Shama (WR), March 13, GNA – As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), KEDA (Ghana) Ceramics Limited, has contributed more than five million Ghana cedis in financial support, products and essential supplies to the government, institutions, schools, hospitals and communities across Ghana.
Its commitment to Ghana has remained steadfast, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as in other national initiatives and environmental stewardship, which have also been at the core of its corporate social responsibility.
Mr Lorry Li-Wei, the Managing Director of KEDA Ghana Ceramics, who made these known in an interview with the GNA, said the company aimed to improve upon public infrastructure and service delivery in underserved areas, hence the gesture.
He said in September 2025, the company donated 200,000 Ghana cedis to the Children’s Support Fund established by His Excellency, President John Mahama.
Mr Li-Wei said recently at a sod-cutting and commissioning ceremony in Shama, the company donated products valued at more than half a million Ghana cedis to twenty (20) schools, hospitals and public institutions within its operational areas.
“As part of our CSR initiatives, we regularly donate tiles and sanitary wares to uplift schools, health institutions, community projects and government agencies.
Additionally, we provide funding to help these institutions meet their needs and to improve upon the quality of their service delivery,” he emphasised.
Mr Li-Wei highlighted that the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was a critical pillar of KEDA’s operations and industrial expansion and that the company continuously and consistently balanced profitability with a strong commitment to community development.
The MD said beyond business growth and employment figures, the company was mindful of its broader contributions in improving lives and communities as it considered its investments and CSR initiatives as a part of a shared national effort to uplift livelihoods.
Mr Li-Wei expressed the company’s commitment to continue partnering with the government in ensuring that the benefits of growth were felt in households and communities across the country.
