Accra, March 16, GNA – More than nine million Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world are inviting the public to two events designed to educate the community about the Bible’s promise of a better future.
These events are the annual observance of the Lord’s Evening Meal in the evening of Thursday, April 2, 2026, and a Special Public Talk titled “Who Will Restore the Earth?” to be delivered on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
Both events are free, open to the public, and hosted by the Witnesses.
A release in Accra, signed by Mr Daniel Adashie of the Public Information Department of the Ghana Branch Office of Jehovah’s Witnesses, said the Witnesses have thus begun a campaign to invite the public to the two events, meant to offer hope to attendees “as escalating conflicts fuels anxiety and tensions worldwide.”
A talk at the Lord’s Evening Meal will highlight what Jesus taught about mankind’s future, as the “life and teachings of Jesus have great significance to so many around the world.”
“We hope this event, an observance recognised by Christians continuously for almost 2,000 years, will help visitors gain the strength to cope with uncertainties of life today and connect us to a wonderful hope for the future,” Mr Adashie stated.

The Special Talk titled,” Who Will Restore the Earth?”, will be delivered in the more than 118,000 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide. The 30-minute program will address what the Bible says about man’s relationship to the earth, the earth’s future restoration and how to benefit from the Bible’s promises.
The release recalled that “almost 2,000 years ago on Nisan 14 of the Jewish calendar, 33 C.E., Jesus instituted the Lord’s Evening Meal with his apostles.
“That evening, Jesus commanded, as recorded at Luke 22:19, “Keep doing this in remembrance of me. The Witnesses obey that commandment every year on the corresponding day as a reminder of how the biblical hope of a restored earth is possible.”
The statement said more than 21 million people attended the Lord’s Evening Meal last year.
The Witness urged interested persons who wish to learn more about the Lord’s Evening Meal and the Special Talk and to attend at a nearby location to visit the website jw.org > about us > memorial.
