Juaso (Ash), March 20, GNA – Muslims at Juaso in the Asante-Akim South District on Friday gathered in their numbers to mark Eid-ul-Fitr, signalling the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The central prayer grounds was filled early in the morning as men, women and children arrived in neat and colourful attire.

Many of the men wore jalabiyas(long gowns) and embroidered kaftans, while women appeared in stylish dresses with matching hijabs, giving the occasion a simple but elegant look.

Imam Mohammed Kassim Nurudeen, who led the prayers, called for peace across the world and prayed for unity and stability in Ghana.

He also remembered the Muslim Ummah, asking for support and harmony among Muslims globally.

He commended Muslims for their discipline and commitment during Ramadan, saying the period had helped to strengthen their faith and promote good values.

The Imam urged them to continue to live by the lessons of the fasting period, especially humility, generosity and tolerance in their daily lives.

After the prayers, the atmosphere became more relaxed as people exchanged greetings and interacted freely.
