Accra, March 16, GNA – Ghanaian songstress Enam secured two nominations at the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) and opened the nominees’ announcement event with a culturally themed performance.

Enam was named as a contender for Best Female Vocal Performance and Record of the Year for her song “Amin,” which received significant airplay nationwide.

She also performed at the launch event held at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra, delivering an opening act that drew on traditional Ghanaian spiritual aesthetics.

She began with her piece “Libation Chant,” a composition rooted in ancestral homage and ceremonial invocation.

Backed by rhythmic drumming and vocal incantations, her performance set a solemn tone at the industry gathering, which brought together artistes and stakeholders for the unveiling of this year’s nominees.

Enam, known for blending traditional chants with soul and contemporary African influences, received strong applause for a set described by entertainment pundits as both artistic and culturally resonant.

Her rising profile reflects a broader trend among African musicians who are incorporating heritage and spirituality into modern music forms.
