Bibiani (WN/R), March 27, GNA – The Asante Gold Bibiani Limited has handed over a newly constructed school complex to the Ghana Education Service (GES) in Bibiani Municipality as part of the resettlement programme for the Bibiani Old Town and Zongo communities.

The project, located at the resettlement site, included a kindergarten, primary school, and junior high school, along with seven teacher accommodation units, including a two-bedroom apartment for the headmaster.

Speaking at the handing ceremony of the project, Mr Dave Anthony, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Gold Corporation, expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, and said the handover of the school reflected the company’s commitment to delivering on its promise to the affected communities.

He stated that the first 100 housing units were expected to be completed and handed over by June 2026 to create shelter for the Bibiani resettlement programme.

He lauded the collaborative efforts of all major stakeholders, particularly the traditional authorities and affected communities for the completion of the facility.

The CEO was confident that with such modern facilities, the school would begin operating from the start of the next term.
