Tel Aviv, Feb 28, (dpa/GNA) – Israeli-US airstrikes on Saturday, simultaneously targeted three locations where Iranian leadership meetings were taking place, killing “several senior figures,” according to an Israeli military official.
“Several senior figures essential to the management of the Iranian campaign and the regime’s governance were eliminated,” the military official said.
No additional details were provided. The information could not initially be independently verified.
The official also said there was “close cooperation” between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the US Army.
The two allies “worked for thousands of hours to build as valuable and extensive a target bank as possible,” he said, adding that in recent months the number of targets increased exponentially.
