Accra, Feb. 15, GNA – Ghana international André “Dede” Ayew produced another steady display for NAC Breda as the club claimed a 1-0 win away to Heracles on Saturday.
Ayew, who is gradually working his way back to top form, completed the match and earned a rating of 7.3 after contributing across both ends of the pitch in his side’s first away victory of the year.
The former Black Stars captain recorded 52 touches, completed three of five dribbles, and made 13 accurate passes from 20 attempts.
Ayew’s physical presence and discipline in the match were remarkable as he often dropped deep to support the defence, a quality that has long been a part of his game.
The result strengthens NAC Breda’s push in the second half of the campaign, with Ayew continuing to play a central role as the club targets stability and improved league positioning.
With Ghana coach Otto Addo set to name his squad for the upcoming March friendlies against Germany and Austria, Ayew will be keen to build on his performances as he eyes a return to the national team.
Ghana would be making their fifth appearance at the 2026 World Cup in the summer, and there have been calls from fans for Dede Ayew to be included in the final squad.
