He said domestic fires were the highest, recording 133 cases, bush fires 80 cases, as well as 32 commercial and 27 vehicle fires.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, ADOI Adomako said the command reported eight injuries and five deaths in the fires.
He said the command also rescued 15 victims of road crashes as well as 23 victims from other rescue operations with six and three people dying from the crashes and other rescue operations.
He mentioned the poor condition of some fire tenders as a major operational challenge and appealed for support to position the service well in responding to emergency situations.
ADOI Antwi said the command had set up a taskforce and intensified public education to stem fire outbreaks, saying their activities greatly helped reduce the outbreaks in January this year which recorded only 29 outbreaks compared to the 74 reported cases in 2025.
